More About Robinson Produce Farms
Robinson Produce Farms, located in Bolton, North Carolina is a fourth generation farm started by John Robinson in the mid-20th Century. He and his son, David, grew tobacco and grain crops for more than thirty years. David’s son, Jerry developed an interest in growing produce at a young age and began selling local produce to retail stores in nearby Wilmington, NC while still in middle school. By 1985, Jerry had started a roadside stand underneath the large Live Oak tree at the farm’s road frontage on NC Hwy. 211.
Today, Robinson Produce Farms is 140 acres much of which is double-cropped in mixed vegetables including watermelons, strawberries, and greens.

North Carolina State Senator R.C. Soles, Jr., WECT TV6 News Anchor Frances Weller, State Representative Dewey Hill, and North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services marketing staff display the plaque and blue ribbon awarded to the Robinson Produce Farms winning flat of strawberries at the 2009 North Carolina Strawberry Festival Quality Contest.
